Are you lazy? Do you often find yourself just sitting there, not doing anything in particular? Do you find yourself having to practically get psyched up, just to do any little tasks that need to be done? If this is the case, you might be suffering from a malaise. While this lack of motivation and wherewithal is not a disease, per se, it might well be classified as a close cousin to a disease of some sort. After all, laziness (or sloth as it was once called) is so bad that the Bible warned people against it thousands of years ago.
Religion does not matter to this discussion. What does matter, no matter what you may or may not believe, is that you need to keep on moving. Life is far too short to simply sit still all of the time. And if you sit still too much, you are going to find that life is even shorter for you than it would otherwise be. If you are not out there being active, you are going to suffer gravely for it. And in the same vein, it is also critically important that you do not allow a total lack of motivation to enter your mind, either.
After all, we have all got a powerful link between our minds and our bodies. If you do not nurture your personal focus on goal achievement, you are inevitably going to find that everything in your life will atrophy. Your muscles (including your heart) will end up growing weak. You will find yourself less able to do anything that you want to do. And if you ever do end up wanting to do something, you won’t be able to.
